Dress Code
The goal for our attire here at CFA/HS is modesty. Administration reserves the right to approve or disapprove any clothing at any time on a case-by-case basis. Administration also reserves the right to add to this list according to fads or styles that do not reflect the school’s standards for students. The discretion of the administration will be the final rule.

Dress Code for Pre-K Students
Pre-K students should wear clothing that is neat, clean, and appropriate for whatever activities are taking place. On chapel days, students should wear dress clothes.
Dress Code for Elementary Students (K-5)
All students in kindergarten through grade 5 are required to follow the CFA uniform catalog guidelines as to style and color. Clothing that is not purchased through the uniform company must match what is pictured in the book. All school plaid items must be purchased only from the uniform company.
All clothes must be of a proper fit. Socks and tights must be plain and of a uniform color.
Students are expected to follow conservative styles in hair and accessories or make-up. Boy’s hair should be neat and conservatively cut; no tails or hair over the collar or in the eyes. Boys are not permitted to wear earrings. Girls should not wear excessive make-up, jewelry, or hair accessories.
Students must wear tennis shoes for physical education class.
On chapel day, boys must wear a white shirt and tie with long pants, and girls must wear a white blouse with a skirt, jumper, or long pants.
Dress Code for Middle School Students (6-8)
All students in grades 6-8 are required to follow the CFA uniform catalog guidelines as to style and color. Clothing that is not purchased through the uniform company must match what is pictured in the book.
The following guidelines must be followed in addition to the uniform catalog guidelines:
- Socks and tights must be plain and a uniform color.
- Shoes and socks must be worn at all times, including with sandals. Girls may wear stockings or tights instead of socks.
- All shoes, including sandals, must have a back.
- Clothing must be of a proper fit.
- Skirts must be knee-length or longer.
- Undershirts, including girls’ tank tops, must be white without lettering or pictures.
- Hats and other outwear (coats, jackets, hoodies, etc.) are not permitted to be worn in the building. Sweaters worn must be uniform style and color.
- Students are expected to follow conservative styles in hair and accessories or make-up. Boy’s hair should be neat and conservatively cut; no tails or hair over the collar or in the eyes. Boys are not permitted to wear earrings. Girls should not wear excessive make-up, jewelry, or hair accessories.
- Chapel attire for boys: Uniform pants with a uniform shirt and tie. Shirt must be tucked in.
- Chapel attire for girls: Uniform skirt or pants with a uniform blouse tucked in.
- Gym attire: Uniform shorts and tennis shoes.
Dress Code for High School Students (9-12)
High school students will follow a dress code instead of a uniform requirement as follows:
- Boys and girls may wear any solid color, docker style pant any school day.
- Boys and girls may wear a collared shirt of any color or pattern on any day but Wednesday.
- All shoes, including sandals, must have a back.
- All clothing must be of a proper fit.
- Shirts/blouses must not have any pictures or writing on them.
- Shirts/blouses must be long enough that they could be tucked in.
- Shirt/blouse necklines may not be lower than one horizontal hand width from the neck.
- No sleeveless shirts/blouses or cap sleeves permitted.
- No material of a see-through nature.
- The outermost shirt/blouse must follow the horizontal hand width neck line rule. (Tank tops worn under other shirts/blouses do not suffice for meeting the neckline rule.)
- Sweaters of any color or pattern may be worn over a collared shirt.
