Mrs Cindy DelmantoCindy Delmanto holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Geneva College and has completed several graduate courses through Caldwell College. Mrs. Delmanto enjoys praising God in the form of music through her activities as a vocalist, pianist, and organist. She is active in numerous missions and ministries, including the children's ministry at her home church, sponsoring a child in India, supporting mission groups, and the nursing home ministry at her church. On evenings and weekends, she can be found hiking and traveling, doing crafts, and working as an Avon representative. She also loves to collect teddy bears. Bringing varied interests and activities into the classroom provides an enriching experience for our students. Mrs. Delmanto shares, "I will definitely incorporate my music abilities and artwork ideas into the classroom. I would love to do some mission oriented programs with the children, like making gifts for nursing home residents. I will also use teddy bears in the classroom... just for fun! Mrs. Andrea HueyAndrea Huey holds an Associate in medical secretarial sciences from Westmoreland County Community College and a Bachelor of elementary education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Huey loves to read and belongs to a book club. She also enjoys scrapbooking. A love of reading can be used creatively to enhance every subject, not just literature and language, in the classroom. "I use my love of reading to try to inspire my class to see value in reading. I introduce different style of books, and many classic to show how fun reading can be and how easy it is to "get into" a book," shares Mrs. Huey. "It's fun to use books to help teach a concept in math, science, art, or another subject in which students don't expect a story to teach them." Miss Christina HughesMiss Lauren Kriss - Middle School English, Literature and Social Studies
Miss Lauren KrissLauren Criss holds a Bachelor of Arts in middle childhood education, with language arts and social studies concentrations, from Cedarville University and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Miss Criss loves to knit and has recently taken up herb gardening. She enjoys singing and was a member of OneVoice, a large gospel choir, during her time at Cedarville University. Passion for the written word is the foundation for ongoing, quality education and well-rounded students. Miss Criss shares, "One big thing I want to integrate in my classroom is to build a culture of reading. If I can help all my students become lifelong readers, I will be very happy." Miss Criss: "After my cat, I would grab a book that belonged to my great-great grandfather, and a cookie jar that my grandmother's family has passed down for generations." Mr. Ken SarberKen Sarber holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Penn State Harrisburg and a Master of Education in elementary education, with a middle school math concentration, from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Sarber enjoys reading the Bible, Christian books, and teaching literature and newsletters. On evenings and weekends, he can be found walking and exercising, cheering on the Steelers, and actively participating in the children's ministry at his home church. Incorporating a focus on God and His majesty into various classroom studies is important to him. "I enjoy God's creation, so I will occasionally take my students outside for science activities," shares Mr. Sarber. "I will share insights from famous Christian writers during Bible class."
